Gopika (Ramlekshmi)
Prayer and Puja has always been an intergral part of my childhood. Having grown up in a large family surrounded by grandparents, parents and aunts in a small town called Rajapalayam in Tamilnadu, India, a strong foundation in tradition and culture has defined my personality.
Art, music, language, and discussions on Vedanta were part of everyday life. I was surrounded by family members who were very talented and that inspired me to learn and appreciate the richness of our culture and religion.
We had many Acharyas visiting our home frequently who greatly influenced me and got me interested in their teachings. Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati's teachings and talks has been one of my biggest inspirations.
When I got the opportunity to learn and teach Pujya Swamiji's VEDIC HERITAGE TEACHING PROGRAM to my children, it gave me the understanding and the framework about our daily Puja and Prayer practices. I understood the meaning and significance behind the practices. This motivated me to share my knowledge with other children.
I am a student of the Krishnamachari Yoga Mandiram, Chennai. I have been learning Vedic Chanting and Yoga from this renowned institution.
